April is a prime time for new launches, and with just two months before the slower summer period, we're expecting the calendar to fill up rapidly in the weeks ahead.

Here are some of the important events taking place in April 2024:

New Homes

27.04 Bellway unveils the show home launch at Old Royal Chase in Enfield, offering 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, along with 2 and 3-bedroom houses. Prices start from £410,000 for apartments, £565,000 for terrace homes, and £700,000 for townhouses.

In Islington, 179 Hornsey Road unveils its show home, where 2-bedroom apartments and 3-bedroom houses are available for sale through Knight Frank. Prices start from £1,250,000. Update 15.04.2024 - the show home is launching in May.

13.04 London Home Show Spring 2024 for First-Time Buyers offers a chance to meet all the developers in one place, such as FABRICA, Guinness, L&Q, Legal & General, Notting Hill Genesis, Peabody, SO Resi, Southern Housing and Square Roots. Further exhibitions will be held for Phase 3C (photo) of the Battersea Power Station Masterplan in April to show how the plans have evolved in response to feedback. Gehry Partners have been appointed to bring forward two more residential buildings south of the existing ones, Prospect Place 3 and 4. Visit the exhibitions on Friday 12 April and Saturday 13 April.

New Offices

The Waterman at 143 Farringdon Road is expected to reach practical completion this month. The renewed Victorian warehouse offers 70,000 sq ft of workspace and amenities including a 4,000 square foot club space, a 3,000 square foot communal roof terrace, plus six private roof terraces. Elizabeth line is just a five-minute walk away.

New Hotels

London's hospitality scene welcomes two exciting new additions this April.

Launching on the 4th of April, The Emory is an all-suite hotel in Knightsbridge overlooking Hyde Park, designed by RSHP. Interiors created by designers André Fu, Pierre Yves Rochon, Alexandra Champalimaud, Rigby & Rigby and Patricia Urquiola, each suite at The Emory is a welcoming, versatile, unhurried space – made for living, entertaining and unwinding. The Emory is now taking reservations for stays from Sunday 14 April 2024.

Art’otel London Hoxton by PPHE Hotel Group will open 24th April 2024. Signature artist D*Face will take centre stage in the hotel’s concept and design. This is the second UK opening for the art’otel brand, following the spectacular opening of art’otel London Battersea Power Station in February 2023. The hotel will feature 357 art-inspired guest bedrooms and suites all with unique skyline views. There are 48 luxury suites and an awe-inspiring 196sqm D*Face Masterpiece Suite. 

Brickmakers Yard by Shiva Hotels is set to reach Practical completion this month. Designed by EPR Architects, the hotel will offer a 194-bedroom new-build luxury lifestyle hotel in the heart of Soho.

Mandarin Oriental Mayfair hotel prepares for its Spring opening, stay tuned for forthcoming details.
